What is this website about?
I started making a chess engine as a fun project when my sister was convinced I would be unable to make one to beat her. We are yet to have the 'official' match to determine whether I have succeeded. Once I was given a server by a good friend, I decided to dive into web development to host my chess engine online and allow others to play against it without having to build my engine locally themselves.
If you are interested in building the engine locally, or checking out the code, you can find my engine on github here: Chess Engine Repository
What am I about?
I am a mechatronics engineering student minoring in biomedical engineering at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. I love making things and am passionate about helping others. My main interests are cycling, electronics, and programming.
My moniker, The Sandwich Man, comes from my staple lunch at uni, consisting of 16 slices of toast bread with jam filling, along with one whole kiwifruit and one banana. My close friends started calling me The Sandwich Man, and the name has stuck.
